Three generations of bold, authentic Mexican flavors crafted with love in the heart of San Diego. Every dish tells the story of our family's heritage.
When Rosa and Miguel Espinoza opened Casa Verde in 1998, they had one small dining room, a handful of family recipes, and a dream to share the flavors of their hometown in Jalisco with the San Diego community.
Nearly three decades later, those same recipes are still at the heart of everything we do. Rosa's mole is made the same way it was in her mother's kitchen. Miguel still selects the chiles by hand at the market every Saturday morning. And their daughter, Sofia, now leads the kitchen with the same passion and respect for tradition.
We believe that great food is about more than ingredients. It's about the hands that prepare it, the stories behind each dish, and the people who gather around the table to share it. At Casa Verde, you're not just a guest. You're family.
We're located in the heart of the University Heights neighborhood. Walk-ins are always welcome, and reservations are recommended for parties of six or more.
